Anyways I wanted to ask but keep running out of room, and so my question, what car(s) is the K20 produced in, and what years? And is there a difference in output if it's in different cars, okay, that sums it up, thanks if anyone knows.Reason I'm asking is I've heard this engine mentioned many times by Honda enthusiasts, but have never heard any details.

don't take what i am saying to heart until you go and dyno your own vehicle, thats the only way you can accurately tell what it is. but take to account the the 638 horse zr1 only puts 490 horse to the pavement. and the 505 horse z06 only puts about 380 to the pavement. the 01 cobra r was something like 450 horse i think and it only put close to 370 to the pavement. go dyno your vehicles and then tell me i'm wrong. until then, believe me, you lose more than just 40 horse

do you guys ever go and dyno your vehicles? i mean seriously. you lose almost 15% of your power through your drivetrain, if not more based on an auto or a stick. i'm biased to, i have a trans am. it only pushed about 220 at the wheels, and its close to 350 horse at the crank. i'm telling you, go dyno any car and be amazed. its all in the numbers. |
