This was funny. I used to travel with a carnival & it was grueling hours in all weather and all days. We want people to win. All games that I ran (duck pond, darts, cork guns, beer bust, basketball, etc) were not rigged. Do you understand the costs? The insurance, fuel from town to town, diesel for the generator to run the carnival, prices of stock, price of the game itself, accessories (balloons, etc), $ paid to the committee, $ to pay the help, license plates for vehicles...? It's expensive.

But keep in mind the games are mostly meant to test your skill. If you don't have any skills, then quit your whining and just don't try the game. No need to get butt hurt and cuss out some one for doing what they are supposed to do at their job.

Most carnival folk are out here for 12 to 14 hours a day. Heck on the tear down days, it could be up to 18 or 20. Just to drive all day on your one and only day off that week or for two weeks, to set it all up again in another town for more people like you. We don't bust our ass for us, we do it for you. All of that time put into setting up a place for you, your family, and friends, to have a good time. Show a little courtesy. Just because someone works there doesn't mean you have to be rude.

Sure, some of the people are grouchy. Wouldn't you be if you had to stand in the hot sun all day long listening to the 15 year old populace of any given town bad mouth you for doing your job? And I do mean ALL day?

Please don't be ignorant. It makes good people look bad. Not everyone who works at a carnival is this evil stereotype that the stupid video claims. Granted there are a lot of people who do "work hard" to take your hard earned cash. There are also PEOPLE (I emphasize the word people because "carnies" are people too (with families, friends, pets, feelings, college degrees, mortgages...ect.)) in the carnival business who try and make sure that everyone gets what they pay for. A little slice of fun.
