dancingRJ==You praise Paul Potts in and put him down in same sentence, what do you mean he has less talent, in Germany recently he was second to none,Paul is incredible talent, and not lacking technique anymore, very professional now. You see, Pavarotti and most others had years of so much training before they came out on world stage, so this is indeed after four years no singing, quite unique.

pblock- Yes, Pauls Potts has great potentioal and talent which after years slogging ten hour day at Carphone Warehouse he will now develope. In Koln two weeks eleven thousand audience went wild, he reached those high Cs everytime, and that something about Pauls voice you opera people will never aquire in conservatories, go see him now. Imdkleine, Potts is after eighteen months is getting more popular, and as an opera fan, I like Paul better than late and great, let those living come on now...

Love Piers' face when Paul says he's going to sing opera- kind of says 'Oh God this is going to be awful' then Paul opens his mouth, begins singing... and the most amazing voice comes out. Well done Paul a deserving winner last year xx

Dear pblock76&imdkleine,It makes me sad to see that you don't have enough faith in Pavarotti to believe that from where he is, he is certainly proud of Paul and look over him.If you really care about Pavarotti then read his biography. He had his own struggles, and after, became what he is(he will never be forgotten). When he finally accepted that it might not be meant to be.When the pressure was gone, he sang from his heart and you know the rest.I'm sure he's proud of Paul.Just my humble opinion

That's something that i watched and it made me step back and just think to myself how amazing people are. And that you should never judge a book by it's cover. I'm a 22 year old guy and i consider myself a pretty tough guy but at the part when he hit the big notes and the card was cheering i have to admit i teared up a little bit. Truly amazing

imdkleine, I'm not sure how "15 minutes" can fade faster than. . uh. . 15 minutes, but with 103 concerts, numerous other appearances, a best-selling CD worldwide, and another due out in the spring, Paul's already well past the "flash in the pan" short-lived fame you predict. |
