I respect your opinion though; I mean that.

I don't agree with all his perspectives, but he tells stories that are rarely discussed or even taken seriously. He just doesn't direct movies about the hood that portray violence, drugs, and sex like some directors-I won't say any names-and he certainly doesn't glorify these themes or hatred against any race, culture, or religion. What other director has even dared to be so honest in their depiction of blacks-and some of their opinions- at the lower end of the socio-economic totem pole?

Most WWII movies are fiction, this is no exception, though the story is based on a book. I agree, I would love to see the Buffalo soldiers story portrayed on film, but I also believe spike would do a great job. Honestly, he's one of the few film makers who consistently create movies from an African American perspective. His movies are great, and his documentaries are even better. His "anti white rhetoric" is an honest look into the hearts of many blacks whom feel neglected and overlooked.

The African Americans that fought in WWII need to get recognition but this is fake. There were real units he could have portrayed and payed homage too. The real buffalo soldiers did many brave things that were never recognized until decades later. I would love to see a Buffalo soldiers movie just not by Spike Lee he would probably ruin it with anti White rhetoric.
