Asimov said a robot will not harm a human or through inaction allow a human to come to harm provided we actually build them with that, if we programmed an AI with the imperative to protect its own life only, then it would probably start knocking us off.Anyway this robot is not sentient just an absoutely stunning example of robotic movement. Its amazing how it walks on ice with such tiny hard feet.

exactly. well put. all this robot right here, is a bunch of sensors and a way to transport it self and some programing to keep it self stable. its not programed to find the nearest human and eliminate it. people who say THEY ARE GONA KILL US ALL! are stupid. just like any other thing it could be used for both good and evil. hell just look at guns. they could be used to hunt to get food, or be used in a shooting. people who fear robots have seen way too many scifi films.

Asimov said a robot will not touch his creator. Why should they, they are just not smart enogh also if they were, there is still no sense in killing us, robots dont feel the wil for domination as long as we dont programm them to, without this routine they also wont programm them self to be like that. Its like telling a blind how colors look.
