Sometimes these things come up. Sam Raimi said Doctor Octopus would not be the villain for the second movie, and look how that turned out. The movie should have focused primarily on Black Suit Spidey and Venom. Sandman was too much, and I think I would have waited for that fourth film. What a shame.

sandman was originally supposed to be the 4th movie but something happened that they had to put the two enemies together into this one.I think it would have been cool with venom only in this movie.Carnage powns! Electro too but he pisses me off when he kicks my brother's ass so easily XD.

When I saw this preview clip I thought this movie was going to be amazing. How wrong I was.

Well then I think the real villain here is the U.S's privatized healthcare system, which made Flint turn criminal in the first place since he couldn't afford his daughter's medical bills... Yeah they should have had spidey taking on some greedy health insurance fat cat, not to mention all those fat cats on capitol hill...

But doesn't that just add more depth to his character, making him more human? Because in the end you know Sandman is a good man who made a wrong choice and ended up in certain circumstances, not unlike Peter. Sending cops to the hospital and the whatnot is relatable, I'm sure anyone of us would do what he'd done if we were in his shoes. And really? Make glass out of him? That's just lame.

Yeah but he does nothing redeemable, on top of accidentally killing Uncle Ben he has also sent a bunch of cops to hospital with fairly serious injuries and aided Venom who possibly murdered cops. He didn't deserve forgiveness, Spider-man should have kept the black suit and threw him into a furnace and made glass out of him.

One of the most unique and popular powers Spidey has is his Spider-Sense. The first two movies seemed to portray it pretty well, but it was practically completely absent in this film.. when Harry just surprised him like that it was just one of the several things that ticked me off in this one

I agree with you too, because of that and I think the movie wouldn't have been nearly as interesting if the Sandman was just some random thug who happened to get powers; this story with his daughter gives alot more depth to his character. |
