My Everun Note UMPC can play the Sims 2 at 1024 X 600 resolution with a decent frame rate so I would expect this XPS 1330 to run it very well.

I got one XPS 1330 around 6 months back. I paid extra and got the NVDIA GeForce 8400M GS.However, I am facing problems now for last 2 weeks with the NVDIA display and my notebook is facing hardware malfunction due to some NVDIA issues.Trying to get help from Dell customer care, but have not got any robust help till date.Aybody else facing similar problems?

I have had mine since Jan 08. I wish I had ordered it with a video card. Even old games freeze up. The stock speakers suck too, I use the ear buds. But it's been dead nut reliable. Dell's XPS service is in Texas, every one speaks english. I just ordered a 1550 & noticed a $500 drop on the 1330's price with 4mb ram & 128mg video

Nice review.tho there are some issues with model. I work as a Dell services tech in the NY area, and I usually have to replace 2-3 m1330 per week. The problem with this model is either due to bad LCD, or burn out Mobo. If you are considering purchasing this model (m1330) I highly suggest you also purchasing the 3 year warranty.

thank's for the reply :)anyway, one more question: the slim screen... It's very important for me that the laptop is portable... Does the normal screen make it any heavier? What else makes the laptop heavier? I'm thinking about 4096 MB instead of 3072 MB; will that increase its weight?

i have this laptop for a year now and im lovin it. just add the 150$ option for the slim screen.its not a gaming computer since it only have 128 mb nvidia..but im playing Counter strike without any problem..also u can see some user on youtube that have tested this xps with Call of duty 4 and crysis and it worked great..so i think sims 2 will be okthe battery life is not so bad..with the 6 cell u get like 2.5 hourbuy it ..it really worth it :)
