How many other comedians do you know who can have a crowd cracking up before they even say a word? And Rickles is doubled over even before Brooks starts talking.

Wow. Foster Brooks was such a Genius, God Bless him. The remarkable thing is that by the time he started doing these roasts, he had been sober for nearly 10 yrs or more. He was the greatest "drunk" impression as Rich Little was (and still is) the greatest over all impresssionist. Can't you see the difference between these artists and the ones out there now? Frank Caliendo is servicable. But even he would admit he couldn't hold a torch to these guys. They were and always will be the original...

ABSOLUTELY Coolestmovies! These were a part of my youth as were the Pink Panther and James Bond films of the 70's! No Def-'Comedy' crap here!I used to tune into these for Foster, Winters, and Rickles almost exclusively!

On ALL of the Dean Martin Roasts on which he appeared, Foster Brooks absolutely OWNED the room, dais and audience included! He was the ONLY one who didn't look like he was going off cue cards. |
