I'm thinking about switching myself. The service I go through seems to have a lot more downtime than I like. And images that I link elsewhere from my server seem to "red X" a lot. Which is very bad for what I do. Instead of going to tech support this time, I just started browsing for reviews. I looked up reviews on my specific host and they were almost godly on a top 10 site, not a thing wrong with them..I was sceptical of that top 10 right from there. So I came to youtube and found this.

In the interests of objectivity, I don't make web hosting recommendations... but after you watch the video, you will have a better idea as to what to look for. Bottom-line: Who would you rather host with? A company that puts 70 cents out of every dollar into marketing? Or a company that puts 70 cents out of every dollar into service and better equipment? :) Marketing grows a business, but superior service keeps clients :)

That "reasearch well" is where I need help-How? I don't know anyone personally that has a web site. Where should I look-anything you can point me to that gives a good unbiased review and/or summary?

I've used lp for about 3 years now, and I must say that I have not had a reason to complain yet. My site has never been down, I've never had a problem with various payment methods, my band width is admiral, the panel is solid also. For me, it's perfect. I have yet to have a problem with any site that I have designed on their servers...so, I dont know, maybe it's just my luck. |
